WE HAVE MOVED!

"And I beheld, and heard the voice of one eagle flying through the midst of heaven,
saying with a loud voice: Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth....

DOOMSDAY BUNKERS & Costco is selling doomsday kits with a 25-year shelf life

DOOMSDAY BUNKERS &  Costco is selling doomsday kits with a 25-year shelf life

If the world ever implodes as a result of an apocalypse, the last thing you'll want to worry about is 'What should I make for dinner tonight?'
Thankfully, Costco has got you covered, with food kits that can feed a family for up to a year.
The company is selling kits that range in price from about $1,000 to as much as $6,000.
Shelling out a couple grand will get you up to 600 cans, which amounts to more than 36,000 servings of food -- plenty to survive most doomsday scenarios.

The kits include a variety of freeze-dried, dehydrated and instant foods, including rice, beans, broccoli, bananas, strawberries, chicken and milk.
There's also a few essential spices and cooking ingredients, like 'butter powder.'
Many of the freeze-dried items will last up to 25 years, while items like instant pinto bean flakes have a 30-year shelf life.
Costco has been selling doomsday kits since at least last year, telling the Detroit Free Press: 'This is a great value with shipping included.'
Enjoy the comfort in knowing you have the essential foods your family will need to survive an emergency or natural disaster!,' Costco's website notes.
'With 11 top quality flavorful and easy-to-prepare varieties in each pail, you can forget the hassle of creating an emergency meal plan for your family,' the site continues.
The company hasn't disclosed how many doomsday kits it has sold, but judging by the user reviews made on the $4,000 Thrive 1-Year Food Storage kit, buyers are loving them.

Another buyer said the product was 'peace of mind in a can,' while another referred to it as 'end of the world as we know it insurance.' Many gave the kits five-star ratings.
For anyone who's afraid that having a doomsday food vault delivered to their house will freak out the neighbors, Costco promises that it will be 'packaged discreetly for privacy in shipping.'
Still, the kits weigh approximately 1,800 pounds and are nearly six feet tall.
The company also offers curbside delivery that will drop the kit off at the end of your driveway.
Just in case the kits ever sell out on Costco's website, Walmart offers many of the same products, while Amazon also sells emergency meal packages.

Having food and water on hand is also one of the top tips described by experts who have instructed how to survive a nuclear attack.
Last January, nuclear survival videos were trending on YouTube and other platforms after researchers who manage the clock said President Donald Trump's policies on climate change and nuclear weapons were largely to blame for the change.
In addition to stockpiling food, people suggested other basic tips like finding shelter, having an electricity generator on hand and purifying water.
Scientists have also taken steps to preserve the world's food supplies in the event of a global catastrophe.
Experts have detailed a number of tips to improve your chances of survival in the event of a nuclear disaster, including:
Pack an emergency supply kit containing water and non-perishable food items.
When a nuclear bomb goes off, it sends out radiation that can ruin your mobile phone and laptop, so preparing battery-powered radios for communication is wise.
For the blast, it is important to get as much concrete between you and the blast as possible.
For the fall-out it's important to have thick walls and a thick roof, he says, and in a house it is a good idea to blockade all the windows.
A $13 million investment from Norway's Agriculture Ministry will help fund the construction of a new, concrete-built access tunnel, as well as the creation of a new service building
Scientists have devised the Svalbard Global Seed Vault (pictured) as a way to protect the world's food supply in the event of a global disaster. It's located in Norway
But if you are outside and know the blast is coming, you might have time to get to a better shelter.
First you should get on the ground with your hands behind your head and brace yourself for the blast.
Never look at the blast, because it can cause you to go blind temporarily.
The, after the blast, you have 30 minutes to get to the best place.
Once you get inside remove your clothes and clean yourself straight away and blow your nose, to stop the radioactive materials from spreading, and do not use conditioner.
If you cannot have a shower, wipe yourself with a wet cloth.

Located on an island off of Norway's northern coast, the Svalbard Global Seed Vault stores nearly one million samples of seeds, which represent 13,000 years of agricultural history.
The vault provides a last resort back-up to a network of seed banks around the world, which store seeds but can be threatened by war, accidents and natural disasters.
Permafrost and thick rock ensure seed samples remain frozen even without power.
The vault aims to secure millions of seeds representing every important crop variety available in the world today.

Asteroids! WWIII! N. Korea! Military Bunkers Transformed Into Survivalist Homes in S. Dakota (Video)

The motto “always be prepared” is wise advice, but one man is taking the mantra to the max. He’s got former military bunkers spanning a space that is three-quarters the size of Manhattan, and is selling them to survivalists.
Survivalists and so-called “preppers” are often the brunt of jokes, with insults ranging from “paranoid” to “weird” and everything in between.
But Robert Vicino couldn’t disagree more. He runs a company which is currently focused on transforming military bunkers into doomsday shelters.
The shelters are in Middle of Nowhere, USA, otherwise known as Edgemont, South Dakota. It’s barely on the map, but it’s about to host the “largest survival community on the planet.” That’s big news for a town with a population of just 774 people.
Describing the bunker community as “large” is perhaps an understatement. “…This base is 18 square miles (47 square kilometers), about three quarters the size of Manhattan,” Vicino told RT’s Ruptly agency. He says the community has 575 bunkers and will be able to hold between 6,000 and 10,000 residents.

If the idea has you imagining some kind of “tiny home” situation, think again. “This place is huge,” Vicino said while giving Ruptly a tour of a 2,200 square foot bunker. It’s “bigger than most houses in the world.” That’s likely a good thing, if you’re planning on having to spend the rest of your days inside an underground bunker with your crazy Aunt Martha.
Vicino says it would be nuts not to prepare for the worst, as each bunker will cost buyers just $25,000. “To not have this and to have a back-up plan for mankind, to have an insurance policy, is crazy. The cost we are able to do this… it’s nothing. It’s crazy not to, it’s nothing more than life assurance.”
He also had a rebuttal for anyone who thinks those backing the project are crazy. He said those buying such structures “are people that are aware. They are not paranoid, they are highly intelligent, they read a lot.”
When it comes to possible reasons someone might need to flee to their underground bunker, Vicino’s answers ranged from natural disaster to a nuclear attack by Kim Jong-un. Basically, just about anything that could be scary for Earthlings.
“The whole world is concerned… some are concerned about North Korea, others are concerned about an economic collapse, others are concerned about World War III… there’s threats from the sun, a coronal mass ejection, there’s threats of asteroids hitting the earth and there`s near misses every week now…”
But there’s a catch if you decide you want to spend the rest of your days in one of Vicino’s bunkers. The nearest town is 30 minutes away and there’s no mobile connectivity. Of course, if the world is coming to an end, that’s probably the least of anyone’s concerns.
Vicino’s company also offers luxury survivalist dwellings in the German town of Rothenstein. Those bunkers cost more than $25,000, however, as the complex boasts swimming pools, theaters, gyms, restaurants, and a helicopter service.
